Five years ago, Phil commenced working as the Ministry Team Leader at Northern Community Church of Christ in the northern suburbs of Melbourne when it was born from the merger of four “traditional” and declining churches. Northern Community has encouraged the creation of multiple diverse worshipping communities and missional teams, each connecting differently with community members. Prior to entering paid ministry, Phil worked as an account manager trained in facilitation, conflict and change management. Phil is currently completing a Masters of Arts in Church Leadership.

Dan works full time as a lawyer and is currently working towards a doctorate in law. She has experience at a variety of levels of church leadership, including lay leadership, worship coordination, church eldership and denominational leadership. She currently sits as the Chair of the Board of Churches of Christ in Victoria and Tasmania. For the past 5 years, she has acted as a lay leader and coordinator of Northern Community’s congregations for young adults.

Dan and Phil have been ministering together (in their various capacities) for 10 years and are passionate about using the creative missional imagination of the “emerging church” to bring change to existing churches. More of their thinking is available here
