A quiet giggle

Just completed an online survey for Statistics New Zealand…

on the last page i came to some questions about me

I had to giggle at the first one:
And finally, a few questions about you.
Approximately how often would you use statistics from Statistics New Zealand?
Daily
2 – 3 times a week
…etc

It seemed very much in the
And now some questions about YOU:
Do you like my new hairstyle?

Thanks For Your Patience

We at U2.com would like to thank you for your patience around the recent postponement of the Vertigo Tour dates. As we’re sure you can appreciate, changes of this nature generate a great deal of work behind the scenes.

We hope to have the situation resolved soon. We apologise for the delay and thank you again for your continued patience.

Pentecost

This morning’s service was amazing.

My focus seemed to be most frequently upward, Godward, above my head.
Bubbles descended on us.
Shafts of lightning/polished twisted willow hung down from the ceiling.
We were invited to share communion under these branches that symbolised the coming of the Spirit.

I found the whole thing enormously moving.

After an intensely busy weekend
focussed on the Spirit
I felt enormously blessed and touched by that same Spirit
as i worshipped and engaged this morning.

the gentle sense of God’s presence and peace.
The reminder that,
just as the leaves descending down the willow will dry and die,
so i need a constant replenishing/refreshing by the Holy Spirit.
And the lovely sense of that very thing happening.

And the mission reminder
that we aren’t just soakers, but are also givers.

(I will let you know when there are pics)

Bleak…

It is a(nother) bleak day.

And my mood is also bleak.

Not sure why…
partly because having JUST caught up my hours for the BU
(having worked heaps less in the lead-up to Easter – cos of all the extra voluntary stuff i did for church/journey)
i am now going to fall behind again this week:
it may have felt better if i hadn’t caught up yet!

Partly cos steve is going away soon.

And partly cos it has been TOO LONG since i saw the sun
(and not some watery approximation of it!)
