“take your time”

… words it is lovely to hear from the purchaser, when moving house.
The buyer isn’t in a rush to get in, she will come late afternoon,
therefore we have all day to move and clean…

Note to self

Defrosting ones freezer is actually an almost-pleasant job on a hot summer night…
(but slightly alarming with the glacier-cracking noises that come unexpectedly)

Oh Christmas tree

This from St Boniface, on felling the tree dedicated to Thor
(and not being made into toast)
and discovering a fir tree growing within it…

This humble tree’s wood is used to build your homes:
let Christ be at the centre of your households.
Its leaves remain evergreen in the darkest days:
let Christ be your constant light.
Its boughs reach out to embrace a
nd its top points to heaven:
let Christ be your Comfort and Guide.

Nice, eh?
(thanks wikipedia)
