some ratbag stole my seat
The Taylor family went out to our holiday home on Sunday night. I awoke on Monday morning and pulled open the curtains on this view.
The sun was streaming in and I slowly made my way to find a cup of tea.
The neighbouring holiday house has a wide, wooden step. Just right for sitting on, out of the wind, soaking up the morning sun. The wooden seat is aged and weathered, just right for a slow journal, a quiet savour of some Merton.
Alas the neighbouring holiday house has just been brought. I’ve lost my seat!

I can picture it; and what a lovely spot to read Merton. He would, I imagine, have been pleased.

Steve,
Do you have beaches in NZ/Aoe?

Andrew, of course there are no beaches in NZ, we are a completely landlocked nation 🙂

That reminds me. I was going to ask for my next OS trip, is NZ anywhere near France?
Comment by Andrew — October 28, 2005 @ 12:19 pm
Well, Andrew, it depends on which map and how you hold your map. For some, we are in the centre of middle earth, which is nowhere near France. If you are euro-centric, then you’ll find NZ below France. If you have Kingdom eyes, then you’ll find us at the top of world, way above France.

OK so if I have ‘kingdom eyes’ I can fit in Siberia, France and Middle Earth for the weekend. Now what currency do you use? Tallents, Rocks or US Dollars!!
I like you Kiwis. Especially when you play us Aussies in World Cup Semi Finals!
