Coffee whore

I have been in Christchurch just over a week. Already I have 3 different coffee cards in my wallet, from 3 different cafes. And I still haven’t found what I’m looking for.

Part of earthing for me is finding a good local cafe. In Auckland we had Ultra; retro and friendly, and from that emerged storytelling nites.

Where is my “ultra” in Christchurch – accessible, good, relational and a place from which to start public creative missional events?

  4. Yup, nothing makes one feel at home than finding one’s coffee place. If you ever get here in the philippines, let me take you to this awesome place in the hills of Bagiou City – it’s called “caffeklatsch,” and man, it is nice. Alas, here in the fast-paced manila, starbucks is always the cop-out choice. It does not have the individuality one longs for – just an iconic surrender to consumerism and corporate sell-out. Thus, the search is still on for me, and to think I’ve moved here since last year. Well, i hope you have better options out there in search for THAT place.
