growth trails

Art trails. The notice caught my eye. I thought about the way that art trails thread one-off, stopping places into a journey.

So why not spirituality trails?;
meet at the start of a period with your spiritual coach
select a range of stopping places – courses, seminars, books
meet at the end of a period to celebrate learning.

You could have leadership trails, worship trails, mission trails, parenting trails …. and so many events can be threaded together in a range of personal choices.

Now that would be an exciting approach to spiritual development.

  2. Interesting idea. Very like the differentiated tasks we try to use with students so they have choice but still get the core knowledge they need. A common model is mains for the whole class and then they get to choose form a number of dessert options. The motivation to do this is to cater to different abilities and learning styles.

  3. This is so very good. This way everyone would have a year of purpose with an opportunity to address their weakest areas or grow in areas of passion. Each one would be on a journey of their choosing and the results would benefit the whole! So when does the planning start? Count me in!
