How are you finding things? strange ways in fastforward

I feel like I’m watching a movie,
that I’m really enjoying.
But it’s stuck on fastforward.
It’s also a foreign language feature.
Thankfully most scenes have subtitles
but every now and again I feel just like this …

cartoon hat tip

  1. Steve, I can really identify with this cartoon, especially within the context of a new denomination. It is like I am in exile, an outsider living in an unfamiliar land…

  3. about six years ago, my husband and two teenage children moved back to Adelaide having lived in Sydney for six years. we came from a very loving Evangelical Anglican Church in Sydney and even as a Christian, I felt like foreigners trying to find my place in a new church and a new workplace. It was very uncomfortable for quite awhile, in fact it took about 2 years before i really felt part of the church family. Give it time Steve and go with the flow. Before you know it you will be more like us that we are…. just don’t take us tooo seriously :0)

  4. thanks Annette. it sounds like we have many more months of settling in front of us! and yes – the cartoon I’ve posted hers is obviously a sign of great seriousness 🙂
