jack johnson concert

Great night at Jack Johnson concert last night. Great to hang with some other Opawa people and friends, and sway, sing, holler and be glad of being human.

A bonus was Xavier Rudd, a neo-Ben Harper. I have never seen one person make so much music and how someone can sing and play didgeridoo, drums and electic guitar in one song I have no idea.

A downside was G. Love’s forced rap, a secret best kept in the States IMHO.

  1. Hi Steve, I was at Jack Johnson too, and saw you there! Although, I’m not entirely sure you know me! It was an amazing concert was it not? I thought Xavier Rudd was genius too….I love to watch people who are so free! And also, talented. (Free, untalented people are quite another matter). But, the Pianist/Piano Accordianist won my heart!

I am enjoying reading your blog, good to get to know you. It is a very strange feeling to be so unknown and unknowing about the Pastor of Opawa Baptist, since it was my home for so long. So, it is nice to get some first hand insights!

  2. Sharyn, saw you, know who you are.

Glad the blog helps you get to know me. It’s one of the reasons I keep it. I don’t like the minister as remote and distant. So the work of keeping a blog for me is about being accessible and letting people interact with some of my thinking and ideas and hope they sense they have more “voice.”
